The Virginia Port Authority plans to construct a new marine terminal on the 580-acre eastward expansion of the existing Craney Island Dredged Material Management Area (CIDMMA). The state-of-the-art Craney Island Marine Terminal (CIMT) is scheduled to open in 2017.
