The Craney Island Eastward Expansion represents thousands of jobs for the Hampton Roads area.

Throughout each phase of design, construction, and operation various opportunities will emerge.

Starting In 2010

In the future, during construction of the Craney Island Eastward Expansion project, there will be a high demand for a number of positions with construction contractors in the following construction fields:

Starting 2020

Upon opening of the marine terminal in 2017, there will be additional employment opportunities estimated near 50,000 for the following positions:
